The Rambla is without any doubt the most emblematic boulevard in the city. In the past, it was just a natural torrent with an Arabic name. Around 1704 it started being a busy street thanks to the fall of the walls and the fast construction of houses on both sides. From Plaça Catalunya to the Statue of Colón, each bit of the boulevard has its own name:

The Gaudí's work concentrates mainly on the city of Barcelona. The visitor can contemplate his well-known works just by strolling around the city.

La Sagrada Família (Temple of the Holy Family)

Located between Marina, Mallorca and Provença streets, we find which is probably the most significant work by Gaudí. Gaudí was commissioned this work in 1891 and it became his most important project. Its three façades are dedicated to the Birth, Passion and Death of Jesus Christ and each one of them has four towers symbolizing the twelve apostles. Needless to say that no tourist can miss The Sagrada Família Temple.

La Casa Batlló

Casa Batlló is another impressive work by Gaudí, located on the Passeig de Gràcia, 43. One of the most outstanding aspects of the house is its mosaic façade, which is one of the most important ones of the time.

La Casa Milá

Close to the Casa Batlló, we find Casa Milá, better-known as "La Pedrera". The wrought iron works on the main doors and its general architecture have attracted visitors from all over the world.

Montserrat Mountain Range

Montserrat, not only known by its monastery but also by its geological virtuosity, forms one of the most interesting geographical accidents in the Iberian Peninsula. This massif range offers the visitor the possibility of enjoying trips through wild paths and then visiting the Monastery of Montserrat where, apart from a good meal, tourists can also buy some souvenirs and typical Catalan food.
