In Spain, Barcelona wins and Madrid loses
According to a recent survey performed by Ikerfel market research and published in the sport´s newspaper AS, Spaniards are fonder of the Catalan team and Madrid, on the other hand, has lost followers.
The study was carried out in all 20 First Division League stadiums. They asked 70 people in each venue to enumerate their 3 teams they were fonder of besides their own.
The study showed that 44% of those polled considered Barcelona their second team of preference, against 37% of those that considered Madrid their second choice. Atlético and Valencia they both tie on third place (18%)
Most of the people that have Barcelona as their second favorite team come from Athletic, Málaga, Mallorca, Osasuna, Real Sociedad, Sporting and Valencia. Whereas Madrid followers come from Betis, Getafe, Granada, Levante, Racing and Rayo.
But maybe the most chocking data of them all is that 97% of Madrid followers dislike Barça, but only 77% of Barcelona followers repudiate Madrid. In fact, followers from Osasuna, Athletic, Atlético and Real Sociedad have more animosity against Madrid than Barcelona followers.
Some years ago, Madrid was the second team of choice for most Spaniards. This trend has changed thanks to various factors: Barcelona has won three Champions lately; also, eight of their team players also play on the National Team that won the last World Cup (Barcelona´s Iniesta scored the winning goal). Besides, in Barcelona plays Leo Messi, considered, right now, the best football player in the world.
Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo´s behavoir don´t seem to help Madrid´s reputation either.
3 amazing 3D models of the Nou Camp
The Camp Nou isn’t just FC Barcelona’s football stadium. It’s a lot more. It’s a place that club members built with a lot of effort (and money) so that the club would have not just a place to play its matches; it’s the club’s home and place in history.
And as it is such an important symbol in FC Barcelona’s history, today we’d like to show the Nou Camp from another perspective, more modern and at the same time, interactive. From the creative minds from different Internet users that have chosen the stadium to make their own virtual 3D models.
